In last year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Amsterdam, The Funkids from Georgia placed second behind the Ukranian winner Anastasiya Petryk. This week both countries released some news about their upcoming national selections for the 2013 edition in Kyiv.

Some hours after the International Children's Day it was time for Russia to pick their contestant for this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Out of 18 eager young stars, it was Dayana Kirillova (11) who took home the ticket to Kyiv!

Last year's winning country of Ukraine has started their search for the young star to follow Anastasiya Petryk! 

Azerbaijan is one of the three countries making their debut at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. And now, in a true Azerbaijani way, they've picked the two artists that'll represent them in Amsterdam on the 1st of December.

This year's it's Albania's first time to join the family of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and by now, they've made their pick for it. Check out who it is!

Azerbaijan participates in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the first time this year in Amsterdam. Right now their first ever national selection for this event is taking place in Baku and you can follow it live on Ictimai's website!

Moldova has decided who will represent them at the 2012 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The lucky winner is Denis Midoni with the song Toate Vor Fi, meaning All Will Be, which accumulated the maximum number of points in the national selection organised by the Moldovan broadcaster TRM. 

Belgium also made their pick this weekend with Fabian taking home the victory with his song Abracadabra.

This weekend the Host Country of this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest made their pick and chose Femke to represent them at the 10th edition of the show.

Albania makes their Junior Eurovision Song Contest debut this year in Amsterdam and tonight is the night to pick their first ever entry! There will be five artists performing and one of them will go on to represent their country in the Netherlands.

In the Armenian national selection it was the Compass Band who took home the ticket to this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Egor Zheshko has been picked to represent Belarus at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song A More-more (Oh, Sea Sea in English).

Last year's host country of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Armenia, is ready to select their 2012 entry next Sunday the 30th of September. Yesterday the draw for the order of appearance at their national selection Final show took place.

Armenia has picked the 14 entries that will compete for the right to represent their country at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. Today they've added 3 more.
