Today, at 20:15 Central European Time (CET), the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest started! The younger brother of the Eurovision Song Contest will feature participants from 14 countries, competing for the trophy in the Belarusian capital of Minsk.

The second Dress Rehearsal for the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest started just minutes ago. We can now offer you a preview of what went on during the first Dress Rehearsal in the Minsk Arena!

Today is the day for the Dress Rehearsals here in the Minsk Arena, the place where the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest takes place. The show will be rehearsed a total of three times to make sure everything runs perfectly tomorrow night!

The contestants coming from Ukraine, Sweden and Russia had their second rehearsals today, wrapping up the day here in the Minsk Arena.

With a short break between, it was the Netherlands and Serbia (after the break) to rehearse for the second time in the Minsk Arena. 

Bartas from Lithuania and Stefan Roscovan from Moldova started the second round of rehearsals in the Minsk Arena today. 

Anja Veterova always dreamed of dreaming about representing her native FYR Macedonia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Today, she got one step closer to that - she had her first rehearsal in Minsk.

Daniil, the host country's representative at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest, gave a really dramatic performance today in the Minsk Arena.

Next up was Nicole from Malta.. not 'suddenly' like she says in the beginning of the song, but she did surprise everyone with her energy on stage, gaining a huge applause from the audience in the arena.

The Armenian singer Vladimir Arzumanyan got a taste of the stage again today and sung his song about a girl he likes, 'oh mum!' (or 'Mama!').

The rehearsals continued by uptempo entries - it was time for the Latvian song Viva La Dance by their young star Sarlote and the group called the Sea Stones.

After Sweden it was time for the charming Russian duet by Liza Drozd and Sasha Lazin with their song - precisely titled - Boy And Girl.

Today's rehearsal by Josefine Ridell showed how a new artist is claiming her position in the sky of pop music in Sweden and Europe. Josefine's performance left no questions why she was picked to represent her homeland in Minsk.
