  • Alexander Minenok has been chosen to represent Belarus in the upcoming Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Музыка моих побед (Music of my Victories). The winner was determined by a 50/50 combination of professional jury and public telephone votes. Belarus has participated in every edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since the show was launched in 2003.

  • The Belarusian selection for the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest took place in the capital Minsk. The show started at 21:00 CET and was broadcast on the main TV channel Belarus1 and satellite TV channel Belarus 24.

  • Russia has selected Sofia Fisenko as its representative in the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Zhivaya voda which translates as Living Water. The winner of the national selection was decided by a combination of internet and professional jury voting. The result was announced by superstar Philipp Kirkorov who co-wrote You Are The Only One, Russia's entry for the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest.

  • The finalists of the Ukrainian national selection for the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest have been selected. Young artists from all around Ukraine will compete in the national final on 10th September for the chance to represent Ukraine in the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest which will take place in Valletta, Malta on 20th November.

  • The Ukrainian national selection for the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest is underway. A semi-final will be held in the studios of the national broadcaster NTU on Saturday 13th August at 10:30 CET. The qualifiers will then proceed to the national final which is due to take place on 10th September. You can watch the show live on NTU's official YouTube channel.

  • The Public Television Company of Armenia has officially announced that after a careful internal selection by its creative team, made up of music industry professionals and stars, it was decided that 13 year old singers Anahit Adamyan and Mary Vardanyan will represent Armenia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Malta in November. Their song is due to be unveiled in the autumn.

  • 12-year old Martija Stanojković will sing for F.Y.R. Macedonia at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Valletta, Malta, on Sunday 20 November.

  • 13 year old Christina Magrin will represent the host country of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, Malta. The singer won the national selection last night becoming Malta's 13 representative at the contest. The 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Valletta on 20th November. Christina's entry will be revealed in the coming weeks.

  • Lidia Ganeva will represent Bulgaria at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta. Lidia won with both the jury and public, receiving 34.75% of the televote. The 10-year-old singer was the leader during the semi finals as well, scoring maximum jury points at both shows. "Junior Eurovision for me is a dream! I've always dreamed of representing Bulgaria at the contest but now it's true", said Lidia in her first interview with the Bulgarian broadcaster BNT.
