  • 13 year old Christina Magrin will represent the host country of the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest, Malta. The singer won the national selection last night becoming Malta's 13 representative at the contest. The 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Valletta on 20th November. Christina's entry will be revealed in the coming weeks.

  • The National Television Company of Ukraine (NTU) has officially confirmed its participation in the 14th Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta and announced the start of the National Selection for 2016. Singers aged between 9-14 are welcome to submit applications for the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the deadline for receiving entries is Wednesday 10th August.

  • Lidia Ganeva will represent Bulgaria at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Malta. Lidia won with both the jury and public, receiving 34.75% of the televote. The 10-year-old singer was the leader during the semi finals as well, scoring maximum jury points at both shows. "Junior Eurovision for me is a dream! I've always dreamed of representing Bulgaria at the contest but now it's true", said Lidia in her first interview with the Bulgarian broadcaster BNT.

  • Betty, the singer who finished third for Armenia in the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest has released her new single, New Generation, which is part of a project of the same name. The aim of the project is to spread happiness all over the world!

  • Bulgaria's national selection for the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest begins tonight, marking the country's sixth participation in Junior Eurovision. The 2016 national selection will consist of three live shows; two semi-finals and a live final. Bulgaria also hosted the 2015 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Sofia, which was hosted by Poli Genova who went on to finish 4th in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest in May.

  • Klesta Qehaja has won the Albanian national selection for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with the song Besoj and will represent Albania in Malta in November! The show featured a special guest appearance from Destiny, winner of Junior Eurovision 2015.

  • The 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in multiple locations in across Valletta, the EBU and Maltese broadcaster PBS confirmed today at a press conference in Stockholm. The event will be held on Sunday 20th November in the afternoon, in order to make the event more suitable for family prime time viewing.

  • The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and its Maltese Member Public Broadcasting Services Ltd (PBS) are delighted to announce that the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will take place this November in Malta. PBS will host this year's event in the capital city, Valletta, after being offered the chance to organise the 14th annual competition following Destiny Chukunyere’s victory at the 2015 contest in Sofia, Bulgaria. Malta last hosted the contest in 2014.
