On the first day of the Heads of Delegation meeting in Kyiv, Ruslan Tkachenko, Executive Producer of the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, presented the ins and outs of the event.

Sweden will open the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest and FYR Macedonia will close the competition. The Host Country, Ukraine, was drawn in 10th position. That was the result of the draw that took place at the Blockbuster Entertainment Centre in Kyiv, earlier today. Marietta and Timur Miroshnychenko hosted the draw event.

The delegation heads from the thirteen countries that are represented in this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest gather in Kyiv for the annual Heads of Delegation meeting, to take place on Monday and Tuesday.

Ralf Mackenbach won last night's Dutch national selection for the seventh Junior Eurovision Song Contest with his song Click Clack.

Rafaella Costa won tonight's Cypriot national selection for this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest with Thalassa, Hliios, Arera, Fwtia (Sea, Sun, Wind, Fire) and will thus represent the tiny island in Kyiv.

Sara Markovska has won the FYR Macedonian ticket to Kyiv, to the seventh Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The same goes for Princesses from Georgia and Mimmi Sandén from Sweden!

The youngest of all the participants, Laura Omloop won the Belgian national selection for the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She'll yodel the song Zo Verliefd in Kyiv.

Ioana Bianca Anuta has won the Romanian national selection for the seventh Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Now she'll represent her homeland in Kyiv!

Ništa Lično has been chosen to represent their homeland of Serbia at the seventh Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv!
