Last night the grand Opening Party of the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest was held at the Ukrainian House in Kyiv. All the delegations and organisers were present and had a lot of fun!

Sara Markoska was the last one to rehearse today at the Palace of Sports in Kyiv. She was the one wrapping up the day when every participant of this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest got the chance to try out the stage.

Yury Demidovich represents Belarus this year, the song he performs is called Volshebni Krolik or Magic Rabbit, in English. Today he got the chance to rehearse it for the first time on the stage in Kyiv. 

So, you saw tap-dancing, a fairytale and more at today's rehearsals of the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, but then came Laura from Belgium. She's determined to make yodelling a lot more popular in Europe!

The entry from the Host Country of this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest, Ukraine, decided to send Andranik Aleksanyan to represent them. Today he had his first rehearsal too, like the other kids did.

Francesca and Mikaela from Malta had their first rehearsal today in Kyiv, Ukraine at the 2009 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Their song Double Trouble sure was staged in a sweet and cute way. 

Rafaella Costa, who represents Cyprus at this year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest, had just her first rehearsal today in Kyiv. She gave a deeply emotional performance.

Ralf Mackenbach gave quite a different performance today from everyone else. Namely, he's the only kid this year who tap-dances! He had his first rehearsal today in Kyiv.
