In last year's Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Amsterdam, The Funkids from Georgia placed second behind the Ukranian winner Anastasiya Petryk. This week both countries released some news about their upcoming national selections for the 2013 edition in Kyiv.

Ukraine's final 20

The 2013 national final of Ukraine will be held on the 2nd of August in the Artek International Children Centre by the Black Sea. As we announced before, Ukraine were to shortlist their hopeful acts to 20 most talented and, after the professional jury deliberations, their broadcaster NTU confirms the following list of finalists:

Send your application in Georgia

The Georgian Public Broadcaster, GPB, has launched its national selection procedure for 2013, they're looking for young talented stars. Georgian singers aged 10-15 can participate by sending audio files with their singing, photos and their CVs to Kostava Street 68 in Tbilisi with the deadline being the 10th of July. More details will follow.
