In the very first Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Copenhagen, Belarus finished fourth. The country has won twice, in 2005 and 2007 and finished in the top five a total of eight times! Belarus hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in the capital Minsk in 2010. The show was held in the brand new Minsk Arena and included appearances from previous Junior Eurovision winners.
In the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest Alexander Minyonok finished seventh with his song Musyka moih pobed (Music is my only way).
