UNICEF is appointed by the United Nations to look after children across the world and is a co-production partner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year! Our theme: Water For All!
UNICEF and Junior 2008: Water For All!
Our theme perfectly fits with this year's place to be - Cyprus! The island is located in the Mediterranean Sea. Water is a precious resource and will show up through the entire show. Even on the stage you will see some real water! Also, we are proud to tell that the profit from the televoting will be donated to UNICEF, helping many children all over the world! So, your vote on Saturday counts twice; you support your favorite and children in need!
UNICEF made a special game called Water Alert! You can click here to play the game.
Did you know that over a billion people - that's over 1,000,000,000 men, women and children! - still have no access to clean and safe water? If you want to know more stunning facts about the challenges we face and the need for clean drinking water, go to the Voices of Youth website of UNICEF.
