Exclusive: Presenting logo of Junior 2010

Minsk, Belarus -

The host city of the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, the Belarusian capital of Minsk, is getting ready to host the event in the fall of this year. Now, the Steering Group of the contest had a look how far are the organisers in making it all happen.

At the meeting, the logo of the 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest was introduced. The idea behind it is inspiration.

"The Junior Eurovision Song Contest is an example of young talents from different countries. For these shining stars everything is possible, they can inspire millions of people all over the world! Wings are a symbol of freedom, ease of flying, creative inspiration and rising above. Different colours mean different people, cultures and countries." the organisers from the Belarusian broadcaster BTRC say.

The Steering Group's Chairman, Steve de Coninck-de Boeck, said the arena of the 2010 contest is impressive, being the largest venue ever used for the event.

"Now the main thing is to solve technical problems. For example, earlier we haven't held contest on ice platforms. That’s why we have to decide, what are we going to do – to melt the ice or to cover it," he said. Another question is where the stage will be constructed. Maybe directly in the centre of the Arena?

Svante Stockselius, the Executive Supervisor from the EBU, expressed his happiness about the current organisation. "We have a possibility to experiment. It is great. But the main thing is to do everything in the right way. When I was here in February I asked BTRC to prepare a detailed plan, up to an arrangement of the dressing-rooms. Now the plan has been shown to me and I'm pleased".

The 2010 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in November this year. The winner of the 2009 contest was Ralf Mackenbach from the Netherlands with his song Click Clack.

The logo looks quite original and colourful, I like it. But since I don't watch JESC... it doesn't mean so much to me. Never watched that show, and I have no intentions to start watching it either. I wonder how many countries are gonna take part this year. 5, 6? LOL! report to the moderator

I don't like the logo so much :-(

It's reminding of Oslo's logo, with just more colors, and then the circels are worse than Oslo's.

To simply, like last year and last year again, I don't think any of the Junior contest logo's have impressed me before. :-S

But I think it has something to do about that, it is the Junior contest and not the real contest.

Last year in Ukraine: Romania dident deserved last place, my favorits were Cyprus, Romania & Macedonia last year and they ended at the bottom, because they for sure more fitted to the Eurovision contest.

But also I liked Belgium & Netherlands last year.

Armenia only got 2nd place last year because of Barcelona fans around europe.
Russia annoyed me, she looked like a hooker, and sounded like that to me, with that music.???

Don't get angry on me because I say what I mean, i'm just saying. report to the moderator

I like the logo so much .. could we download a preferable larger format of it. So we can promote it on fan forums. Thanx in advance. Best regards guys. You're doing a great job.

Could be also have a better picture of our stagedesign this year. Found nothing clear on internet.
