France have won Junior Eurovision on 3 occasions thanks to Valentina with J'imagine (2020), Lissandro with Oh Maman! (2022), and Zoé Clauzure with Cœur (2023).

Their three wins ties them for most Junior Eurovision victories with Georgia.

Thomas Pontier was the first artist to perform for France when he sang the song Si On Voulait Bien and came sixth in 2004. After this, the country took a big break from participating until they came back in 2018, when their fortunes changed.

In 2019, France was represented by Carla, who came fifth with her song Bim Bam Toi which became a big hit on TikTok after the show, and then in 2020 France won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest for the first time! Valentina sang J'imagine and received the most points from both the Juries and the Online Vote.
